Spokane, WA (June 18, 2025) – The authorities arrested 38-year-old Stephen Schwabe following a DWI crash on Colbert Road late afternoon Saturday.
Troopers said it was around 5:30 p.m. on June 14 when the collision happened near Boston Road.
Responding officers located a damaged 4Runner on its side with a male passenger trapped inside.
The passenger was freed and was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Moreover, officers said they located an empty alcohol bottle on the ground outside the vehicle. They also found a half-empty liquor bottle inside.
Police also stated that the driver, Stephen Schwabe, appeared to be impaired during the collision.
