SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 21, 2025) – Tuesday afternoon, a startling vehicle crash on Bandera Road and Loop 1604 injured one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Bandera Road and Loop 1604 access road.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, a vehicle struck a SAPD officer who was approaching panhandlers to tell them to stop walking in the street.

Moreover, responders transported the officer to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, the female driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not expected to face any criminal charges.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
