Aircraft Destroyed in Azle Plane Accident on 4000 Silver View Lane

AZLE, TX (February 26, 2025) – Monday afternoon, a startling small plane crash on 4000 Silver View Lane led to minor injuries.

The crash occurred Monday around 2:45 p.m. in a field behind several homes in the 4000 block of Silver View Lane, an unincorporated area of Tarrant County near Azle. 

According to the fire department, two people aboard a Starduster 2 airplane escaped safely with minor injuries. The plane caught fire but was extinguished by firefighters, though the aircraft was destroyed.

Lake Worth Fire confirmed that the plane was privately owned and not a military aircraft. The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, the FAA, and the NTSB have taken over the investigation. 

The cause of the crash remains unclear, and authorities have yet to determine whether the fire resulted from the impact or if the plane was already on fire before going down. 

The owner’s identity has not been disclosed.
