1 Person Hurt in San Diego Vehicle Crash on Froude Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 25, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a startling skateboard accident on Froude Street injured one person.
The incident happened at around 1:44 p.m. on Froude Street.
According to the San Diego Police Department, a 20-year-old skateboarder was riding southbound while hanging onto an open passenger window of a Toyota 4Runner.
Then, the rear view of the Toyota struck the skateboard, pushing the 20-year-old male skateboarder to hop off the skateboard and then got struck by the vehicle on the leg.
Moreover, responders transported the skateboarder to a hospital with an open fracture to his lower leg. Also, the 17-year-old driver of the Toyota was not hurt in the crash.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
