1 Person Hurt in Gonzales Pedestrian Accident on Fifth Street Bridge and US Highway 101

GONZALES, CA (September 22, 2023) – Wednesday night, a startling pedestrian crash on Fifth Street Bridge and US Highway 101 injured one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 4:16 p.m. on Fifth Street Bridge and US Highway 101.

According to the Gonzales Police Department, a westbound SUV that was attempting to make a left turn onto the southbound US Highway 101 ramp struck a pedestrian.

Moreover, responders airlifted the 12-year-old pedestrian to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Gonzales Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
