SAN DIEGO, CA (May 15, 2023) – Saturday night, an 11-year-old boy sustained injuries in a startling pedestrian crash on Catalina Boulevard near Dudley Street.

The incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. on Catalina Boulevard between Dudley Street and Charles Street near Point Loma Nazarene University.

According to reports, an 11-year-old boy was playing toy swords with a friend. However, he stepped onto Italian Boulevard and was hit by a driver traveling south.

As a result, the boy sustained a fractured pelvis, leg fractures, a hematoma on the left side of his head, and many abrasions. Responders took him to the hospital in an unknown condition.
