Injuries Reported in San Francisco Motorcycle Accident on 3rd Street and Harrison Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 4, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a CHP officer suffered injuries in a startling motorcycle crash on 3rd Street and Harrison Street.
The incident happened at around 3:00 p.m. on 3rd Street and Harrison Street. According to reports, a vehicle crashed with a California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer.
Then, responders took the officer to San Francisco Zuckerberg General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Moreover, the driver of a Cadillac sedan who was involved in the crash has been cooperative with officers.
Responders took that person to the hospital, although it’s unknown if they were hurt.
Both San Francisco Police and California Highway Patrol’s Major Accident Investigation Team handle the crash investigation. Also, Harrison and Third Streets were closed off to traffic.
Meanwhile, officers said that both the motorcycle officer and the driver are expected to recover.
Also, officers are going to review the surveillance cameras in the intersection as part of the investigation.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
