Pre-teen Boy Hit by Car While Crossing Intersection of 29th Avenue and Freya Street
SPOKANE, WA (January 29, 2018) – Witnesses reported a hit-and-run accident on Monday night around 7:20 PM, on the intersection of 29th Avenue and Freya Street in a Spokane South Hill Neighborhood.
A pre-teen boy was walking with a younger children across the street in a crosswalk, when an unknown vehicle ran a stop sign and struck him. According to authorities, the boy suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment and analysis.
The car fled from the scene and is suspected to be a late 80’s early 90’s dark-colored (possibly grey) four-door sedan with tinted windows. It is suspected to have front end damage on the driver’s side from the impact of the collision.
The hit-and-run vehicle was last seen after the crash traveling northbound on Freya St from 29th Ave. Police are seeking help to find the driver, and anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
