CHP Searching Suspect in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Briggs Road

Newhall, CA (February 9, 2023) On Tuesday evening, a deadly hit-and-run accident on the 7000 block of Soledad Canyon Road killed a motorcyclist.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the fatal crash happened 6:20 p.m. east of Briggs Road.

Authorities say that a a white, single cab Chevrolet or Ford truck fatally struck the motorcycle rider and fled the scene after the crash.

Officials are searching for the suspect driver and vehicle. Meanwhile, officials pronounced the rider dead at the scene at approximately 7 p.m.

CHP is investigating the fatal hit-and-run and have not released additional information at this time.
