1 Hospitalized in San Diego Skateboard Accident on Nimitz Boulevard and West Point Loma Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 6, 2021) – Tuesday morning, a skateboarder sustained injuries in a crash on Nimitz Boulevard and West Point Loma Boulevard.
According to San Diego Police Department, the incident happened at around 7:45 a.m. Moreover, it occurred at the intersection of Nimitz Boulevard and West Point Loma Boulevard.
Reports revealed that a southbound Subaru sedan struck a northbound skateboarder as it entered the intersection against a red light. Then, the force of the crash threw the skateboarder onto the windshield of the sedan before hitting the ground.
Furthermore, responders transported the victim to UC San Diego Medical Center with serious injuries.
Moreover, the Subaru driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
The incident remains under investigation.
