Morning Pedestrian Accident on Madison Avenue in North Highlands

 
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (July 29, 2019) – A skateboarder was injured after being hit by a car on Madison Avenue Monday morning in North Highlands.
 
The crash happened around 5:13 a.m., at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Roseville Road.
 
According to an initial dispatch, a white Toyota Corolla was merging when it struck the skateboarder in the middle of the roadway. The driver did not immediately pull over due to traffic. However, another vehicle stopped to assist the pedestrian.
 
The victim suffered injuries, including broken legs, and was taken to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
It is currently unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. CHP is tracking down other witnesses to get their accounts of the incident.
