2 Dead in Apache Junction Auto Accident near Old West Highway and Goldfield Road
APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (September 22, 2025) – Saturday morning, 2 people died in a devastating single-vehicle crash near Old West Highway and Goldfield Road.
The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. near Old West Highway and Goldfield Road.
Apache Junction police and Superstition Fire crews responded after a vehicle veered off the road and struck a utility pole.
Police said the driver, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene. A child who was in the passenger seat was taken to the hospital but later died.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash. Goldfield Road is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day, and drivers are being asked to use Mountain View Road or Tomahawk Road as alternate routes.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
