Stewartsville, MO (March 17, 2025) – 3 individuals were hurt and hospitalized after a frightening traffic crash on Route 31 Saturday evening.

According to authorities, the shocking incident happened near Stewartsville on Saturday night.

Reports say that a serious crash left three people injured when a driver failed to stop at a highway intersection.

Authorities say that a southbound vehicle on Route 31, driven by a Weatherby woman, ran a stop sign at 36 Highway and collided with an eastbound vehicle. The impact caused the first car to overturn off the south side of the road.

Emergency responders transported the Weatherby driver and two occupants from the other vehicle, who were from Gallatin and Bellevue, Nebraska, to Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph with serious injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
