Shinnitta Foreman of Rusk Injured in US 84 Fatal Crash [Cherokee County, TX]

Cherokee County, TX (December 14, 2023) – 46-year-old Shinnitta Foreman of Rusk was injured following a US 84 fatal crash Tuesday night.

The fatal collision happened at about 8:15 p.m. 10 miles west of Rusk.

Officers said Ruben Lundgren,  23, of Jacksonville, was driving in a 2006 Toyota Camry westbound on the freeway.

Lundgren drove into the eastbound lanes and struck a 2021 GMC Terrain driven by Foreman.

Responding officers declared Lundgren deceased at the scene. 

Foreman, on the other hand, was rushed to UT Health Hospital in Jacksonville.

Officers said both drivers were not wearing a seatbelt when the collision took place.

This traffic accident is still under investigation.
