Box Truck and Car Collide on 405 Freeway in Sherman Oaks, Injuries Reported

 
SHERMAN OAKS, CA (December 14, 2018) – One person was injured following a two-vehicle collision Friday morning in Sherman Oaks.
 
The collision happened around 9:09 a.m. on southbound 405 Freeway at Burbank Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white box truck and a blue Volkswagen Passat collided, blocking several freeway lanes. The driver of the Volkswagen was trapped inside the car with unspecified injuries.
 
An ambulance unit was dispatched to the scene and took the patient to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
There were no descriptions of any vehicular damages but the Volkswagen was towed away from the crash site.
 
Fire crews issued a SigAlert in the area, blocking three freeway lanes for about 30 minutes while evidence from the scene was collected and photographed.
 
Details surrounding the collision were not made clear in the reports. Further investigation is underway.
