Deadly Collision in Las Vegas Injures 2 People
Las Vegas, NV (April 1, 2023) – On Sunday, Sherell Dupree, 31, and Erika Gibbons, 36, were injured following a South Durango Drive fatal crash.
The deadly collision took at around 12:15 a.m. north of West Desert Inn Road.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMPD), a 2021 Dodge Charger driven at a high rate of speed lost control and veered off the roadway. It struck signs, landscaping, and 3220 South Durango Drive before it finally stopped in a private driveway north of the business.
Debris from the accident struck a pedestrian, Gibbons, as she was crossing South Durango Drive. She and a Dodge passenger, Dupree, sustained minor injuries.
The accident report stated that occupants were taken to University Medical Center’s Trauma Center while the 32-year-old male driver was declared dead.
Officers are still investigating the collision.
