30-Year-Old Shelton Woman Killed in State Route 16 DUI Crash [Gig Harbor, WA]

Gig Harbor, WA (October 8, 2023) – A 30-year-old Shelton woman was killed and a 54-year-old Federal Way woman was arrested in a State Route 16 DUI crash Saturday.

The fatal crash happened at about 1 a.m. when the Shelton woman was eastbound at Rosedale Road.

At the same time, the Federal Way woman was westbound in the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with the Shelton woman’s motorcycle. 

The Shelton woman died at the scene while the Federal Way woman transported to an area hospital with injuries.

The authorities suspect the Federal Way woman of DUI. She is facing a vehicular homicide charge.
