Sharron Currie Died, Michael Currie Seriously Injured Following Motorcycle Crash on O’Brien Road
Port Angeles, WA (July 24, 2020)– A tragic motorcycle crash on O’Brien Road killed Sharron Currie on Monday afternoon.
A report of a motorcycle and a pickup collision was received on July 20 about six miles east of Port Angeles. Deputies and medics responded to the scene in the 400 block of O’Brien Road at about 3:20 p.m.
Officials found the motorcyclist identified as Michael Currie, 64, and his wife Sharron Currie, 63 both from Port Angeles. They were both found lying on the road after the incident.
Due to the extent of the collision, Sharron Currie died at the scene. Meanwhile, Michael Currie suffered severe injuries and was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Fatal Motorcycle Collision on O’Brien Road
The pickup driver, a 34-year-old Sequim woman appeared to have turned left in front of the motorcycle. Chief Deputy Brian J. King of Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said the motorcycle crashed into the pickup as a result.
Furthermore, a witness said both vehicles were not speeding before the collision happened.
The pickup driver stayed at the scene. Moreover, officials believed neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the fatal crash.
