67-Year-Old Sharon Hickey Killed in Dumas Tragic Head-On Crash [Dumas, TX]

Dumas, TX (April 10, 2025) – 67-year-old Sharon Hickey of Dumas was killed in a horrific crash west of Dumas on Tuesday evening.

According to authorities, the frightening collision happened around 8:50 p.m. on FFA Lane.

Reports say that the head-on collision resulted in the death of Hickey.

Authorities say that a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound when it veered into the westbound lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a 1998 Ford Taurus driven by Hickey.

Emergency responders transported Hickey to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet also received medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
