Victorville Multi-Vehicle Accident on Hesperia Road Involves Patrol Vehicles

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (September 9, 2020) – Early Monday, several people suffered injuries in a crash on Hesperia Road in Victorville.
 
According to reports, the crash happened while the Sheriff’s deputies investigate a stolen Hyundai Elantra on Hesperia Road, near Seneca Road.
 
Reports revealed that a 51-year-old male Toyota Sienna driver from Victorville drove south on Hesperia. However, he struck the rear passenger side of a parked patrol car. Then, the driver drove south and hit the open driver’s door of the Hyundai. The force of the crash threw a deputy conducting a search around 20 feet.
 
Afterward, the Toyota eventually drove off the west side of the road, struck a tree, and then crashed into the second patrol car.
 
Responders transported a 42-year-old man sitting in the back of the first patrol unit to Loma Linda Medical Center with major injuries. Meanwhile, the sheriff’s deputy who was thrown by the crash sustained minor injuries.
 
On the other hand, a male and female occupant of the second patrol car, and the Toyota driver, were transported to Victor Valley Hospital for complaints of pain.
 
The San Bernardino County’s Major Accident Investigation Team currently spearheads the crash investigation. At this time, they haven’t identified what caused the crash.
