1 Airlifted after Big Lagoon Car Crash on Kane Road

 
BIG LAGOON, CA (July 20, 2020) – Early Sunday afternoon, several people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Kane Road.
 
The crash involving a blue Titan and an SUV occurred around 12:09 p.m. The incident took place on northbound Highway 101 near Kane Road in Big Lagoon.
 
Initial reports revealed that the incident injured two adults and four juveniles. Thus, authorities requested three ambulances at the scene.
 
Also, the authorities dispatched an air ambulance. By 12:43 p.m., the crews extricated a patient from the vehicle. Meanwhile, authorities shut down both lanes of Highway 101 until about 1:00 p.m.
 
Moreover, a ground ambulance transported the four other patients to the hospital. Meanwhile, the Reach helicopter transported the seriously injured to a hospital.
 
By 2:00 p.m., the road has since reopened.
 
The crash remains under active investigation.
