Burglary Suspect Involved in Lubbock Auto Accident near 34th Street and Quaker Avenue
LUBBOCK, TX (January 1, 2025) – Thursday last week, Serena Holdridge sustained injuries in an alarming crash near 34th Street and Quaker Avenue.
The incident involving a burglary suspect happened the day after Christmas near 34th Street and Quaker Avenue.
Brittany Luckett shared that the rash left her mother with a broken collarbone, a lacerated liver, a concussion, and severe bruising. To help her mother, who is now without a car and unable to work during her recovery, Luckett is raising funds through GoFundMe.
The crash occurred following a police chase involving Shane Lester, 34, who was arrested at the scene. Investigators suspected him of stealing firearms in Knox County. Texas Anti-Gang officers located Lester near 66th St. and Albany Avenue around 10:15 p.m. and pursued him to 34th St. and Quaker, where the chase ended in a multi-vehicle collision.
The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office reported that Lester was found with multiple firearms believed to be stolen in the Knox County burglary. He was taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center and charged with evading arrest and violating parole, along with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and theft.
