19-year-old Truck Driver Hospitalized after Cathedral City High-Speed Crash on 10 Freeway

CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (May 20, 2020) – Early Tuesday afternoon, Sean Mizler sustained injuries in an accident on 10 Freeway in Cathedral City.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the authorities received reports of the crash around 12:20 p.m. on 10 Freeway, in the eastbound direction west of Date Palm Drive.

The police added that 19-year-old Sean Mizler of Texas was traveling in his Ford F-150. However, he lost control of his vehicle and veered across the roadway. He then crashed into the center guardrail before he overturned several times and landed on top of the guardrail.

Meanwhile, a witness reported that he saw the speeding truck weaving through the traffic just before the accident.

When the paramedics arrived, they took Sean Mizler to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for treatment.

The police do not believe that alcohol and drugs as factors in the accident on 10 Freeway. As the authorities continue to seek information, they urge the public’s help. They are asking anyone with additional information about the crash to call Officer Young at 760-772-5300.
