Scott Fix Dead, Ronald Fix Injured and Jayson Salzman Detained Following DUI Collision at West Craig Road and North Rainbow Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 22, 2019) – A man died in a DUI two-vehicle accident early Sunday at West Craig Road and North Rainbow Boulevard.
According to news reports, 55-year-old Scott Fix was driving southbound on North Rainbow Boulevard and entered the intersection at West Craig Road.
Authorities believe a car traveling at a high rate of speed entered the intersection on a red light and smashed into the left side of the southbound vehicle.
Scott Fix died in the crash. Reports say the Tehachapi, Calif., native and his family were visiting Las Vegas to celebrate his and his daughter’s birthdays.
Scott Fix and his brother, 54-year-old, Ronald Fix of Laguna Niguel, were returning from the Santa Fe Station when the incident happened.
Ronald Fix, the passenger in the car at the time, remains in critical condition.
According to police, the 29-year-old driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries. Police arrested the driver, identified as Jayson Salzman of Henderson, on suspicion of DUI.
