Morning Pedestrian Accident on Alemany Boulevard in San Francisco, Injuries Reported

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December 17, 2018) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a bus Monday morning in San Fracisco, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 7:14 a.m. at the intersection of Alemany Boulevard and Onondaga Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a yellow bus hit the pedestrian sending the individual down on the roadway.
 
Fire officials responded to the scene to rescue the situation. The pedestrian was then rushed by ambulance to San Francisco General Hospital with complaints of pain to the chest, back, leg and hand. The victim also sustained a scrape to the left knee.
 
The roadway was closed until around 8:10 a.m. during the rescue and clearing operations.
 
It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. The incident remains under investigation.
 
While pedestrians have some responsibilities in trying to stay safe on the road, ultimately there is little they can do if a driver ends up approaching and hitting them.
