51-Year-Old Man Struck by Pickup Truck Between Highway 94 and Market St
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 20, 2018) – A 51-year-old man was seriously injured in a pedestrian collision on 32nd Street, on Monday evening around 9:45 PM.
The accident occurred in a dark section of the 800 block of 32nd Street near F Street, between state Route 94 and Market Street, according to San Diego Police Officer, John Buttle. The victim was crossing the street and was headed east when he was hit by a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, to receive treatment for the serious injuries he sustained; he is expected to survive. The 48-year-old man driving the pickup truck was uninjured, and authorities did not suspect that he was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation by officials. No other information has been released at this time.
