Rollover Crash in Meadowsweet Drive Involving Truck Kills Samuel Lee Ouellette

 
Corte Madera, CA (June 20, 2020)– A truck driver was killed after he was pinned under his vehicle in a rollover crash in Meadowsweet Drive on Thursday.
 
Moreover, the deadly incident occurred on June 18 at about 5:42 a.m. on the 1100 block of Meadowsweet Drive.
 
Later, the Marin County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Division identified the victim as Samuel Lee Ouellette, 42, of San Anselmo.
 

Preliminary Investigation

 
Indeed, Ouellette was found beneath the truck rolled over on its side.
 
As a result, the Central Marin fire paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
According to the preliminary investigation, Ouellette traveled down the narrow driveway when his truck left the roadway and rolled over.
 
Thus, Ouellette was ejected from his vehicle.
 
According to coroner’s office, evidence showed that he was not wearing a seatbelt.
 
Jim Lavarone, the managing partner of Mill Valley Refuse where Ouellette was working, said that the vehicle was a compost truck similar to a pickup truck. Lavarone said the vehicle was designed for narrow roads.
 
It was their company’s first fatality, he said.
 
“We’re all in shock here,” Lavarone said. “Everyone here at Mill Valley Refuse is mourning the loss of a good friend, a great worker, and all-around great guy.”
 
The police and the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration regional office is conducting a further investigation.
