2 People Hurt in Fresno Accident near Olive Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (October 14, 2020) – Monday morning, Salvador Rodriguez and Ryan Wiggin suffered injuries in a crash near Olive Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, at around 6;30 a.m., a vehicle heading east on Olive Avenue struck a tractor-trailer. Reports revealed that the tractor-trailer was making a left turn to Sunnyside Avenue when the crash occurred.
 
Furthermore, the CHP believes that the car driver may have been distracted when he struck the truck’s side.
 
Due to the crash, rescue crews utilized the jaws of life to extricate Salvador Rodriguez. Responders transported him to CRMC in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, 26-year-old driver Ryan Wiggin suffered moderate injuries. Rescuers also transported him to CRMC.
 
Moreover, the truck driver appeared to be uninjured following the crash.
 
CHP said that alcohol and drugs do not appear to play a role in the incident.
 
The crash near Olive Avenue remains under active investigation.
