Injuries Reported in Morning Multi-Vehicle Wreck on 5 Freeway in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (December 6, 2018) – One person was hurt following a multi-vehicle collision Thursday morning on southbound 5 Freeway at Arena Boulevard off-ramp.
 
The collision happened around 9:08 a.m. involving a white Toyota Camry, a white Taxi, a big rig, and several other vehicles.
 
While the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, injuries were sustained in the accident and one occupant in the Toyota sedan complained of neck pain. That patient was also reported to have lost consciousness after the crash.
 
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene and took the patient to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
There were no descriptions of any vehicular damages but towing services were requested to remove the vehicles from the wreckage.
 
Investigators continue to look closer into the presented case to determine the factors involved and liability.
 
Remember to drive carefully and stay focused on your surroundings when approaching an intersection. Come to a full stop when coming to a stop sign and check each lane before making a turn. Take the turn slowly while scanning the adjacent lanes to verify that you are still clear.
