SACRAMENTO, CA – One Hospitalized in 2-Vehicle Crash on 80 Freeway at Truxel Road

2 Vehicles Involved in Afternoon Wreck on 80 Freeway in Sacramento, Complaint of Pain Reported

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 8, 2019) – At least one person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon in Sacramento, CHP officials said.
 
The collision happened around 3:17 p.m. on westbound 80 Freeway at Truxel Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Ford Edge collided with another vehicle for unknown reasons. One of the vehicles was disabled, causing traffic hazard. A wheelbarrow was also reported to have been blocking the traffic lanes.
 
A woman was found lying on the right shoulder with facial injuries and complained of pain. The patient was taken by ambulance to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
The Ford SUV sustained a front-end damage and was towed away from the crash site.
 
Due to several factors remained unclear, investigation is ongoing.
