Person Dies in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Wreck in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA (December 4, 2018) – A bicyclist was fatally struck by a hit-and-run motorist on South Watt Avenue near Fruitridge Road Wednesday morning.

According to police, a driver struck a bicyclist and fled the scene. The cyclist suffered fatal injuries in the crash and investigators had to close South Watt Avenue in both directions between Fruitridge and Osage Avenue due to investigations.

There was no identification of the driver involved or details about the vehicle available; however, authorities are investigating this case further.
