Ryan Kwong Arrested in Disastrous DUI Crash on Sunset Boulevard [San Francisco, CA]

Several Hurt in San Francisco Auto Accident on Sunset Boulevard and Rivera Street

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 18, 2025) – Early Saturday morning, Ryan Kwong was arrested in a disastrous DUI crash on Sunset Boulevard.

The incident involving two vehicles happened at about 1:59 a.m. on Sunset Boulevard and Rivera Street.

According to reports, the victim’s vehicle was occupied by three adults, who were all transported to the hospital. One of them suffered life-threatening injuries, while the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the other car was occupied by two, who were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Moreover, the authorities determined that the driver of the second car, identified as Kwong, drove under the influence of alcohol.

Police confirmed that Kwong is an SFPD officer who just entered field training.

The San Francisco Chief of Police stated, “This incident was incredibly tragic, and my heart goes out to the injured victims,” said Scott. “We will do everything in our power to ensure justice is served in this case. No one is above the law, and our officers know they are expected to obey the law, as well as our strict code of conduct, even while off duty.”

The authorities booked the suspect into San Francisco County Jail for multiple charges, including driving under the influence, causing injuries.
