Ryan Gaskins Hospitalized Following Hit-and-Run Accident on Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard

Roseville, CA (January 04, 2021) – On December 29, 19-year-old Ryan Gaskins was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard and Northpark Drive.

The crash happened at about 4 a.m. when Gaskins was walking to work at Safeway.

Gaskins said he noticed a grey sedan with its high beams on waiting to turn left onto Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard from Diamond Woods Circle.

After making sure that the rest of the intersection was clear. He crossed Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard and the grey sedan turned into Gaskins as he was about to reach the sidewalk.

As a result, Gaskins was thrown into the air. He sustained injuries to his knees, ankles, and head. Also, he had a concussion as his head hit the sidewalk.

Anika Kimble-Huntley, Gaskins’ mother, said her son called her and his father when he regained consciousness. They tried to find their son while Gaskins walked several minutes back to his home while bleeding from the head and serious damage to his legs.

“He had just been moved to full-time at Safeway and this would have been his first shift in the bakery,” Kimble-Huntley said. “All he said when he got home was that he couldn’t go to work now.”
Gaskins’ mother worries that the involved driver might think that this can be done again if not caught.

“If this person believes they can get away with attempted murder or just causing harm to others, they will try and do it again and that brings me to fear not only for my family but also this community,” Kimble-Huntley said.
