Ruben Osomio Lizarraga Dead in San Jose Pedestrian Accident

 
SAN JOSE, CA (February 7, 2021) – Friday night, 62-year-old Ruben Osomio Lizarraga died in a pedestrian crash on Highway 101 and Interstate 880.
 
The crash between a southbound pickup truck and the man happened at about 10:52 p.m. According to reports, the man ran across lanes of Highway 101, south of Interstate 880, when the crash happened.
 
Meanwhile, CHP confirmed that the Ford pickup driver slowed down to prevent a crash. However, he couldn’t stop in time.
 
As a result, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the vehicle driver and a pickup passenger suffered no injuries.
 
The authorities ruled out alcohol as a factor in the crash. Also, the authorities shut down several lanes of Highway 101 for around two hours during the investigation.
