Rosita Lizarde Dies in Pedestrian Accident on 8th Street [San Bernardino, CA]

Rosita Lizarde Fatally Struck by Car at West 8th Street and North Arrowhead Avenue

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (December 27, 2019)—A 56-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident at West 8th Street and North Arrowhead Avenue Sunday evening.
 
According to police, the incident happened around 7:15 p.m. A woman operating a Nissan Pathfinder, traveling northbound on North Arrowhead Avenue, failed to see a person walking eastbound on 8th Street.
 
Reports say the pedestrian had been outside of a marked crosswalk when the 38-year-old Nissan driver struck her. Officials identified the vicitm as Rosita Mendoza Lizarde.
 
Due to the severe impact, Lizarde of San Bernardino suffered critical injuries and died shortly after. Police confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be a factor in the collision.
