3 People Injured in Visalia Car Accident

 
VISALIA, CA (March 25, 2019) – A family of three sustained injuries and went to the hospital after an alleged DUI driver crashed into the family’s jeep.
 
The Visalia police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on March 23. They came to the area at 11:30 p.m. on Ben Maddox Way and Goshen Avenue.
 
Upon the officers’ arrival, they discovered that the Chevy Camaro’s driver crashed the rear of a Jeep Patriot. Authorities believed that the 23-year-old Jerardo Cortes drove under the influence of alcohol during the crash.
 
Police revealed that 28-year-old Rose Menera of Fresno drove the jeep. All the occupants, Rose Menera, 27-year-old Marco Menera, and a 3-year-old girl, all suffered injuries.
 
Medical responders transported the family to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, Sgt. Mark Feller revealed that the three people suffered significant injuries.
 
Upon medical clearance, authorities booked Cortes into Tulare County Pretrial Facility. They charged him on suspicion of DUI causing injury.
 
Feller added that speed and alcohol played a role in the crash.
