Ronnie Macias Arrested in Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 95 [Henderson, NV]

Henderson, NV (April 17, 2022) – On April 8, the authorities arrested Ronnie Macias, 45, in a suspected DUI crash on Highway 95 that seriously injured a motorcyclist.

It was about 6:45 p.m. when the collision happened near Sunset Road.

Officers say Macias driving a gray Acura car south on the freeway when he rear-ended the motorcycle. Macias continued driving with the motorcycle under his vehicle before he finally stopped. 

Moreover, witnesses also say that a man armed with a bow and arrow ran from the Acura. Apparently, he was shooting arrows at passing vehicles.

Responding units rushed the motorcyclist to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition. Officers said they expect the victim to survive.

The Highway Patrol and Henderson Police arrested Macias with four counts of attempted murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. As of Friday, he remained at the Clark County Detention Center with $170,000 bail.

Officers suspect Macias was under the influence of a controlled substance when the collision took place.
