Rondole Jones Airlifted after Motorcycle Crash on Mount Baker Highway [Seattle, WA]

1 Injured in Seattle Auto Accident on Mount Baker Highway

 
SEATTLE, WA (September 7, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, 51-year-old Rondole Jones suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash on Mount Baker Highway.
 
According to reports, at around 1:09 p.m., Rondole J. Jones rode a 2013 Honda FXDWG east on the Mount Baker Highway east of Glacier near milepost 35. Jones was riding behind a gold 2001 Honda CRV. As the CRV slowed to make a turn into a trailhead, Jones’ motorcycle crashed into its rear.
 
Due to the crash, the motorcycle caught fire. Trooper Rocky Oliphant revealed that responders airlifted Rondole Jones to Harborview Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the four Bellingham occupants in the CRV were uninjured in the crash.
 
The State Patrol revealed that the cause of the crash was inattention. Meanwhile, they ruled our drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash.
 
Moreover, they confirmed that the Bremerton rider used a United States Department of Transportation compliant helmet.
 
The authorities shut down the Mount Baker Highway for around an hour following the crash.
