Bicyclist Rojelio Minjarez Dies in Accident on Channel Islands Boulevard

 
Oxnard, CA (February 27, 2021) On Thursday morning, Rojelio Minjarez, 39, of Oxnard was killed in a bicycle-van crash on Channel Islands Boulevard, west of J street.
 
According to the Oxnard police, the accident happened just before 4:30 a.m.
 
Moreover, authorities say that the bicyclist was struck by a 2018 Ford Transit van, killing the cyclist at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, authorities say that the driver of the van did not flee and was cooperative during the investigation.
 
Reports say, that the van is on a westbound trajectory when the fatal incident happened.
 
At the moment, the investigation is still on-going, to determine the probable cause of the crash.
