Rogelio Vazquez of Oxnard Fatally Struck on Pacific Coast Highway [Oxnard, CA]

Oxnard, CA (September 21, 2021) – On Sunday, Rogelio Vazquez, a 43-year-old Oxnard man was fatally struck on Pacific Coast Highway near Naval Base Ventura County.

The fatal incident took place at about 11:16 p.m. along Highway 1, north of Wood Road.

Officers said Vazquez was struck in the northbound lanes. 

The authorities pronounced him dead at the accident scene.

On the other hand, the driver did not suffer any injuries in the crash.

Officers said the driver cooperated with the investigation, and no citations were issued. Also, alcohol or impairment do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
