Deadly Motorcycle and Car Crash on Industrial Avenue in Rocklin

 
ROCKLIN, CA (January 10, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed following a traffic collision Thursday afternoon in Rocklin, authorities said.
 
Around 2:28 p.m., police received a call of a missing person that was riding a blue Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. At the same time, they received a report of a traffic collision involving the same motorcycle and a Toyota Highlander at the intersection of Industrial Avenue and South Loop Road.
 
Fire crews responded to the scene and found the rider down on the roadway with compound fractures. The rider reportedly swerved into the Toyota SUV for unknown reasons.
 
Life-saving measures were performed on the rider, but unsuccessful. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Both the motorcycle and SUV were towed away for evidence.
 
Details surrounding the collision were not made clear in the reports and media releases. Further investigation is underway.
