Roberto Mendoza Ailon Charged in Northwest Drive Solo Vehicle Crash

 
Ferndale, WA (March 07, 2021) – On Friday, a passenger was injured while police arrested 28-year-old Roberto Mendoza Ailon in a solo-vehicle crash on Northwest Drive.
 
Officers responded to the crash scene at about 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of West Pole Road.
 
Apparently, the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze failed to stop for a stop sign at the end of Northwest Drive.
 
As a result, it crashed into a parked International truck in a driveway on the intersection’s far side.
 
Right away, responders took the seriously injured patient under advanced life support (ALS) protocol to PeaceHealth St Joseph’s Medical Center.
 
Meanwhile, officers booked Ailon, the driver, to Whatcom County Jail with suspicion of felony vehicular assault according to jail records.
