Robert Yocom Dead in Las Vegas Bicycle Crash on Charleston Boulevard near 17th Street
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 12, 2021) – Robert Yocom has been identified as the victim of an accident on Charleston Boulevard that happened two weeks ago.
According to the Clark County coroner’s office, a car hit and killed the 71-year-old man riding an electric bicycle. He died because of blunt force trauma and “sequelae thereof.” Authorities added that his death was ruled as an accident.
Meanwhile, Las Vegas police confirmed that Robert Yocom rode an electric bicycle on December 28 at 2:50 p.m. As he traveled in the eastbound lanes of East Charleston Boulevard, a Lexus ES300 hit him.
The authorities added that the 62-year-old driver of the Lexus, a Las Vegas woman, was trying to pull out of a private driveway. Unfortunately, the crash took place in the 1700 block of East Charleston, near South 17th Street.
Responders took Yocom to University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Unfortunately, by Saturday, Yocom died.
Meanwhile, the Lexus driver didn’t show signs of impairment.
The authorities continue to investigate the fatality.
