Robert Polino Avila Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash on Goldenwest Street [Westminster, CA]

Westminster, CA (June 9, 2022) – On Tuesday, Robert Polino Avila, 77, of Westminster, lost his life in a two-vehicle crash on Goldenwest Street.

It was about 5:35 a.m. when the fatal incident took place in the 14500 block area.

Officers say Avila was the driver of one of the vehicles that collided.

Unfortunately, he lost his life at the scene.

Moreover, the paramedics took the passenger in Avila’s car and the other car’s driver to UC Irvine Medical Center with unknown injuries.

The authorities say Avila was a longtime Westminster resident and had worked as a crossing guard for the city for the past dozen years. He was not on the job when the fatal incident happened.
