Emanuel Schaible and Robert Miller Dead in Head-on Crash on Interstate 90

 
GRANT COUNTY, WA (May 19, 2020) – Early Monday afternoon, Robert Miller died in a head-on crash on the 90 Freeway in Grant County.
 
The incident shut down the I-90 Freeway where it meets Highway 17.
 
According to Trooper Jon Bryant, at about 2:30 p.m., a 911 caller reported about an SUV driving west in the eastbound lanes on the 90 Freeway.
 
Not too long after, the authorities received another call that reported a violent head-on crash.
 
Bryant added that the SUV crashed into a cargo van. The impact left both drivers with fatal injuries.
 
WSP later confirmed that the SUV, driven by 87-year-old Emanuel Schaible, drove into Robert Miller’s van, leaving them both dead at the scene.
 
Moreover, the authorities shut down the eastbound lanes following the crash. The said lane remained closed for at least two to three hours. The police also rerouted the traffic to Frontage Road.
