Corona Man Fatally Struck by Car on McKinley Street near Estelle Street

 
CORONA, CA (January 9, 2020) – A man was killed after being struck by a car Thursday evening in Corona.
 
The fatal incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on McKinley Street near Estelle Street.
 
According to police, a pedestrian was walking east along Estelle Street, in or near the crosswalk of the intersection when a vehicle hit him.
 
The impact caused fatal injuries to the pedestrian. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Robert Alaniz, 66, of Corona.
 
An ongoing investigation continues to determine the ultimate cause of the crash and liability.
