COLUSA COUNTY, CA (May 21, 2025) – Tuesday afternoon, a disastrous head-on crash on Highway 20 and Walker Ridge led to road closure.

The incident happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Highway 20, east of Walker Ridge Road near mile marker 44.

Officers confirmed that the crash involving one SUV and a big rig shut down a portion of Highway 20.

Meanwhile, CHP logs revealed that parties were struck and debris was thrown across the roadway.

Moreover, multiple tow trucks and emergency crews responded to the scene. However, the extent of injuries of those trapped remains unknown.

However, in an unconfirmed reopen, the crash was said to be fatal.

After the crash, the CHP initiated a one-way traffic control, but due to the severity of the crash, it went to a full closure.
