RIPON, CA – Pedestrian Seriously Injured after Struck by Vehicle on Highway 99 at Jack Tone Road

Late Evening Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 in Ripon, Major Injuries Sustained

RIPON, CA (November 27, 2018) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle late Tuesday evening in Ripon, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident happened around 10:54 p.m. on northbound Highway 99, just North of Jack Tone Road off-ramp.

According to the CHP, the pedestrian was crossing the highway when struck by an unknown vehicle. First responders found the victim in the center divider with major injuries.

The individual was then transported to a hospital for immediate treatment.

The first and second lanes of the highway were closed for the on-scene investigation.

It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. We will continue to update this post as new details are released.
