Volkswagen Driver Injured in Brush Prairie Fatal Traffic Accident
Brush Prairie, WA (June 3, 2023) – On Thursday night, a motorcycle rider sustained fatal injuries in a Northeast 172nd Avenue traffic collision.
At about 9:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office, Clark County Fire District 3, the Vancouver Fire Department, and American Medical Response, responded to the 13900 block area, south of Hockinson High School, for a collision involving a car and a motorcycle.
When the rescuers arrived at the scene, they located a man in a Volkswagen sedan suffering from serious injuries. They freed the driver from the vehicle and transported them to an area hospital.
“The operator of the motorcycle was not immediately located, but after searching the area, a deceased adult male was located in the nearby brush,” a statement from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to the initial investigation, the off-road motorcycle was southbound when it was hit by the northbound Volkswagen and a second passing vehicle. The Volkswagen also struck a power pole after hitting the motorcycle.
The sheriff’s office believes speed and alcohol may have contributed to the traffic accident.

What Can The Bereaved Do?
Unfortunately, in today’s climate unexpected death is ever-present. It is important to recognize that if your family loses a member in an accident, you may recover damages through a wrongful death suit. A wrongful death claim allows surviving family members to achieve/ attain vindication for their dearly departed.
In the case of wrongful death, it is crucial that the family of the victim become aware of their rights under the law. This means that there may be a right to file a lawsuit against the person, or company responsible for the loss of their loved one. Those closest to the victim may have the right to seek compensation for their loss; some common examples include funeral expenses, medical bills, and what is called “loss of consortium.” Loss of consortium generally means the deprivation of future affection and companionship over an untimely death.
