Rider Airlifted after Bicycle Crash on Bear Valley Road and 11th Avenue [Victorville, CA]

16-year-old Injured in Victorville Bicycle Accident on Bear Valley Road

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 25, 2020) – A 16-year-old rider was airlifted after a minivan and bicycle crash on Bear Valley Road on May 22.
 
According to police reports, the incident occurred at around 6:54 p.m. on Bear Valley Road and 11th Avenue intersection. When the emergency crews arrived, they found a Toyota minivan stopped in the westbound lanes. They also discovered a black bicycle wedged under the front bumper.
 
Upon the Victorville City Firefighters’ arrival, they dispatched an air ambulance to land at nearby Desert Valley Hospital. Mercy Air 22 responded and flew the teen bicyclist to Loma Linda University Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the minivan’s driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the police.
